“Though your destination is not yet clear
You can trust the promise of this opening;
Unfurl yourself into the grace of beginning
That is at one with your life‘s desire.“
I am still working with, and delighting in, John O’Donohue‘s blessing: For a new beginning. I hope you don’t mind…
Summoning the courage to cross the threshold, awakening my spirit of adventure. Pursuing questions that dig deep and wide. And not being satisfied with superficial answers, or distracting complexity.
Good work, that requires everything.
But then I’m reminded that it’s not about my effort, but my willingness to step out. I don’t have to be in control or make it happen by myself.
Indeed there are grace gifts along the way. Little reminders that it’s not about me, but my being open to explore my small role ‘in the ongoing creation of the world.’ Light over the lake, encouragement or affirmation of a friend. Synchronicity that tells me I’m on the right path.
Starting opens the gates. Welcome what’s coming your way.
