Sometimes we find ourselves in an uncomfortable place. Where we’d rather walk away and protect ourselves from the emotions and mental turmoil it stirs up.

And sometimes walking away is the right thing to do just now. Because we’re not able to see things clearly enough to make wise decisions about how to constructively disrupt what’s going on.

But sometimes we do just need to stand there. Long enough to discover the underlying causes and appreciate the impact it’s having. Being quiet enough to listen, hear, feel and see.

This takes enough time in the uncomfortable place (but not too long or we wallow and get sucked in).

And then we need to act.
