Compared with previous generations, we live in the fast lane. And the frenetic pace of virtually everything trains us to make quick judgements.

We assess what makes the most sense in the moment because that may be all we have.

Yet we’re no longer hunter-gatherers, where a moment’s indecision may cost us our life.

However, the high-octane adrenaline that fuels our world gives us a false sense of perspective.

Therefore perhaps now, more than ever, we must reclaim the art of seeing well.

And that takes time.
