I am wondering…

When does a raindrop become a river?

And can a river exist without raindrops?

The surface tension holding a drop of water in place is astonishing.

Yet without that boundary, we wouldn’t have oceans.

And the point where it gives, where it cedes its identity as a raindrop, is the beginning of the flow.
