Between 20th and 31st December, I have chosen a Quiet Disruptor post from each of the months of 2019. I hope this walking reflection on the year helps prepare us for 2020…
June – taking time to nurture hope and giving it space to grow
Hope is…
Where does hope come from?
Hope isn’t a thing that we can buy. It’s not an abstract concept. It’s profoundly experiential.
My hope and its source are deeply personal and perhaps different from yours. At least in some respects. That’s OK.
But we do need to know. To ask the question for ourselves and cultivate the source of hope in our lives and work.
Otherwise, we can drift into thinking that change of itself is the answer. Because we don’t like here and now for whatever reason.
But change doesn’t promise anything. Just not being the same…
Where does your hope come from? And what difference does it make to you?
