Hopeful perseverance

Aren’t words interesting?

This morning I’ve been thinking about the triangle of persistence, stubbornness and perseverance. So close, yet oh so far.

My persistence might actually be stubbornness. And I could just be digging a bigger and bigger hole in search of the ultimate answer. Going nowhere.

Instead, I’m going to choose perseverance.

Because perseverance has a sense of energy applied in an intentional direction. It suggests movement, rather than perfection.

And at this time we have the opportunity to be part of creating the future. Not just finding it.

Why hopeful perseverance?

Because I choose hope over fear.
