For belonging

This week has been extraordinary. At least for me!

Every day exploring the issues of perseverance and connection. Daring to go deeper with simpler words so I didn’t get caught up in the veneer of verbosity.

Perseverance is a high calling and requires running mates. Without them, we are in dangerous territory.

On Thursday evening I read John O’Donohue‘s blessing for belonging and it powerfully summed up and settled everything for me.

So this weekend my offering to you is simple: a Blessing For Belonging

For belonging

May you listen to your longing to be free.

May the frames of your belonging be generous enough for your dreams.

May you arise each day with the voice of blessing whispering in your heart.

May you find a harmony between your soul and your life.

May the sanctuary of your soul never become haunted.

May you know the eternal longing that lives at the heart of time.

May there be kindness in your gaze when you look within.

May you never place walls between the light and yourself.

May you allow the wild beauty of the invisible world to gather you, mind you and embrace you in belonging.

John O’Donohue Benedictus – a Book of Blessings, Bantam Press, 2007

May you find your rest in this kind of belonging.

Thank you for being here.

This week

Each day has required a pause with the unfolding thoughts. Am I prepared to respond?
