Two types of drivers cause a headache and danger for the rest of us.
There are those who only go fast. Foot on the accelerator, energised by the thrill of speed. A ‘habit’ that needs feeding. Yes, they may have ramped up their reflexes, but their fast reaction isn’t always enough. And the psychological disturbance for other road users has a long tail.
But those who only go slow are equally a problem. In their cocoon of ‘safety’, they cause unintended danger for the rest of us. We can’t intuitively ‘read’ their actions and their slowness appears to dull their own awareness and reactions. An accident waiting to happen.
Fast or slow? Thoughtful changemakers do both, with insight and passion.
