I know someone who was good at ideas and dreams.
A larger-than-life person with huge energy and vision to match. Many things simply wouldn’t have started without him.
However, he wasn’t a great thinker and therefore some of his initiatives got into difficulty because they hadn’t been sufficiently thought through.
Conversely, I tend to overthink. I see an amazing potential or challenge that we could address in a fundamentally different way. And then I analyse it to death and talk myself out of it.
The wind has gone out of the sails. And the boat isn’t moving.
We all have our tendencies. I suspect that quiet disruptors, as thoughtful changemakers, may veer towards overthinking and lose the spark and courage to act.
What if we could embrace the whole and dream well?
