Usually, when we’re about to cross a threshold, we know about it. Either we make a deliberate choice to move from A to B – a different environment or activity – or we are propelled through. No choice, but a different world.
But we can also cross thresholds without being fully aware of the significance. Until we look back and see that the small steps we’ve been taking have led us into a different place. And we can’t go back. The change is in us.
Either way, thresholds mark the place where change happens, irrevocably.
