It is still in the valley this morning.
The light clouds overhead gently disperse drops of rain. Not heavy enough for waterproofs, but just enough to make the space feel contained.
And I’m reminded of the words of John O’Donohue about coming home to yourself.
Blessing – to come home to yourself
May all that unforgiven in you,
Be released.May your fears yield
Their deepest tranquilities.May all that is unlived in you,
John O’Donohue, Benedictus – a Book of Blessings, Bantam Press, 2007
Blossom into a future,
Graced with love
I have just turned down a small piece of work because I know I’m not the right fit. And in that process, the sense of who I am coming home to is amplified.
However, earlier in the week I said yes to another appointment which stretches out into the distance…
Knowing that there is space for all of us.
