As we emerge and find our feet in this new landscape, we need to embrace a different kind of exploration.
The old questions that frame our sight with hard edges and cause and effect are no longer helpful.
Instead, we must use all our senses and feel our way forward. Being open to metaphors and emergence in discovery.
I am currently designing an away day for a senior partnership team working across two organisations. They need to chart a different way forward in a new landscape in an industry that has been severely affected by the pandemic.
We won’t be able to do this in the usual way by trading data and opinions. Instead, we’ll need to frame a different language better suited to the present and learn to explore through our collective rather than individual senses.
Because there is no right answer, and no one person sees it all.
Instead, we have the opportunity to reimagine the space between us if we dare to have honest and experimental conversations.
